Water Sampling, Analysis and Testing – Chicago Groundwater testing for hydraulic fracturing fluids. – Fracking Water Treatment and Remediation

Schrack Environmental Consulting, Inc. (SECI) has been involved in ground water sampling, analysis and testing utilizing drill rigs and geo-probe sampling equipment for the past 30 years.  In order to protect the beneficial uses of groundwater from pollution, it is important to accurately determine and report its composition. We have installed groundwater monitoring wells in high end clothing stores, beauty salons and restaurants without disrupting the retail operations.

We have completed extensive hydrogeological investigations, developed subsequent site Corrective Action Plans, conducted negotiations with the Illinois IPA to obtain approval of the approach and implementation of groundwater recovery and treatment systems. We have conduced a groundwater investigation of an abandoned gasoline station to delineate the extent of soils and groundwater contamination and designed a soil washing system to remove gasoline contamination from unsaturated soils and a groundwater pump and treat system.  We have also prepared an emergency response closure plan for a PCB contaminated lagoon listed on the National Priority List (NPL) and also supervised groundwater monitoring well installations and conducted groundwater sampling programs at numerous RCRA permitted facilities.
